Wasseralm - rustic and absolutely adorable

The Wasseralm is a small, particularly rustic hut high above the Königssee. At 1,423 meters above sea level, it is located in the Röth basin between the Hagen Mountains and the Steinernes Meer. The Wasseralm is a self-catering hut and is managed in the summer months. A maximum of 40 people can spend the night here in mattress dormitories.

Wasseralm - rustic and absolutely adorable

The hut, which is run by Horst and Monika Schellmoser, is ideal for mountaineers who undertake tours of several days in the National Park. In winter, the hut is located directly on the "Große Reibn", a very demanding ski tour from the Jenner over the Hagengebirge and Steinernes Meer to the Wimbachtal. The winter room is open all year round.

Tip:

The shortest ascent to the Wasseralm leads from the Obersee via the Röthsteig or the Landtalsteig to the Wasseralm.
