When calling up the website of the Berchtesgaden National Park Authority, data is transmitted to our web server via the user's internet browser. The following data is recorded during an ongoing connection for communication between the respective internet browser and our web server:
For reasons of technical security, in particular to defend against attempted attacks on our web server, we store this data. After seven days at the latest, the data is anonymized by shortening the IP address at domain level, so that it is no longer possible to establish a link to individual users. The data is processed exclusively for this purpose and in anonymized form for statistical purposes. A comparison with other data or a transfer to third parties, even in excerpts, does not take place.
When accessing this website, cookies (small files) are stored on the user's end device with a validity period of 12 months. The purpose is to facilitate and customize the use of the website. No personal data is stored by the Berchtesgaden National Park Authority. Most browsers are set to accept the use of cookies, but this function can be switched off for the current session or permanently by changing the settings of the Internet browser.
Some of the videos on this website are embedded from YouTube. When the videos are played, the service provider may store cookies on the user's computer. We have no influence on this storage.
Active components such as Javascript, Java applets or Active-X controls are used in the information provided. These functions can be deactivated via the settings of the respective user's Internet browser.
Provided that you give us your consent to do so, we evaluate user behavior in order to design our website to meet the needs of you and other users as closely as possible. We use the web analysis tool Matomo Analytics for this purpose. This sets cookies, i.e. small text files that are stored on the end device you are using with a maximum validity period of two years. The data collected by the cookies, such as the length of time spent on the website or search terms entered, are processed by us on the basis of your consent. This data enables us to draw conclusions about technical parameters (e.g. the end device you are using) and about the use of our website. Your IP address is anonymized before storage and further processing.
If you revoke your previously given consent, a non-personal cookie with a duration of two years will be set to prevent web analysis in the future.
Information that is sent to us unencrypted by electronic mail (e-mail) may be read by third parties during transmission. As a rule, we are also unable to verify the identity and do not know who is behind an e-mail address. Legally secure communication by simple e-mail is therefore not guaranteed. Like many e-mail providers, we use filters against unwanted advertising (SPAM filters), which in rare cases can also automatically classify normal e-mails as unwanted advertising and delete them. E-mails containing harmful programs (viruses) are automatically deleted by us in all cases.
If you wish to send us messages worthy of protection, we recommend that you encrypt and sign them to prevent unauthorized access and falsification during transmission or send the message to us by conventional post.
You can send PGP-encrypted e-mails to us at the following e-mail address (poststelle@npv-bgd.bayern.de). You can retrieve the required PGP communication key (public key) from the central PGP key server of the Bavarian government network at the address “pgp-keyserver.bayern.de”. Information on the free downloadable encryption software “GpG4Win”, which was developed on behalf of the Federal Office for Information Security, can be found on their website.
Please also let us know whether and how we can send you encrypted e-mails to reply to your letter and whether - if this is not possible - you agree to an unencrypted e-mail reply to your letter. If you do not have the option of receiving encrypted e-mails, please provide us with your postal address so that we can reply to your sensitive messages.
