The following statements, filed under Part A - General Information, apply to all data processing operations of the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection. In particular, but not exclusively, the processing operations described separately in Section B are covered by this.
This privacy statement applies to all persons who contact or are in contact with the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection or use services of the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection and the Berchtesgaden National Park Administration, including users of the website and other online services of the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection, even if not all services described herein are available in all countries.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to such third parties or their services, and we cannot accept responsibility for how these third parties may use information they collect. For information about the privacy practices of third parties, we refer you directly to them.
The processing of personal data, such as the name, address, e-mail address, or telephone number of a data subject shall be in line with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation. This data protection declaration aims to provide transparent information about the nature, scope and purpose of the personal data processed by the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection or the Berchtesgaden National Park Administration. Furthermore, data subjects are informed of their rights by means of this data protection declaration.
Responsible for the data collection is the

After collection by the Berchtesgaden National Park Administration, your data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to achieve the respective purpose of storage or as required by law.
As a data subject of data processing, you have the following rights:
On the website of the Berchtesgaden National Park Authority, users can enter personal or business data (e-mail addresses, names, addresses) for the following purposes:

The personal data entered by the user will be stored and processed exclusively for internal use by the Berchtesgaden National Park Authority and for the purpose stated in the input mask (sending a letter to the Berchtesgaden National Park Authority for processing the request there). The Berchtesgaden National Park Administration may arrange for the data to be passed on to one or more order processors, who will also use the personal data exclusively for an internal use attributable to the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection or the Berchtesgaden National Park Administration.
The processing of this personal data serves the purpose of the Berchtesgaden National Park Administration to provide the data subject with the services requested by him or her.
The e-mail addresses for sending the newsletter or other e-mail subscriptions are stored on a server at the State Office for Digitization, Broadband and Surveying and are not used for any other purposes than for sending the newsletter or e-mail subscriptions. When using this read-aloud function, the technical data required for this (such as browser settings) are transmitted to:
Web Inclusion GmbH
Garden Street 12c
97276 Margetshöchheim
The Berchtesgaden National Park Authority also acts as organizer or co-organizer of various events. For the purpose of organizing such events, personal data is processed.
In the event of an invitation to or participation in an event, we process personal data (name, address, etc.). This can be done via various communication channels (e.g. by filling out a form, a web form, by e-mail, by telephone).
Which personal data is transmitted to the Berchtesgaden National Park Authority in this process is determined by the respective form, the respective input mask or the data requested in a possible conversation.
For the proper handling of the event, data of accompanying persons/deputies of the invited participants will also be collected and processed. These persons, as well as all other persons affected by data collection, are entitled to the above-mentioned rights, in particular to information about the type and scope of the stored data, to object to the processing and to have the data deleted. In this respect, we would like to refer you to the information provided under section A (rights of data subjects).
The Berchtesgaden National Park Authority also collects and processes data for this purpose that originates from publicly accessible sources, e.g. from homepages of the persons concerned or from publicly accessible directories.
The personal data will not be disclosed to third parties without authorization, but will be stored and processed for internal use at the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection and the Berchtesgaden National Park Administration and for the purpose of organizing and handling events (such as creating guest lists, enabling access controls, etc.).
The Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection may arrange for the data to be passed on to one or more order processors who use the personal data on behalf of the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection only for internal use attributable to the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection or the Berchtesgaden National Park Administration.
Depending on the type of event, the Berchtesgaden National Park Administration acts as co-organizer along with another cooperation partner. In these cases, the data collected for event purposes will be passed on to our cooperation partners, whereby they may also use the data exclusively for this purpose of the proper handling of the event.
The data will only be stored for as long as is necessary for the organization and handling of the events as well as for our performance of duties in the area of public relations.
As a recipient of letters/invitations, you can object to the sending of further letters/invitations at any time.
As part of the Berchtesgaden National Park Authority's press and public relations work, photos will be taken and used at events and on which you may be recognizable. With your participation, you consent to the publication of event photos showing your person (incl. social media).
The Berchtesgaden National Park Authority collects and processes the personal data of applicants for the purpose of handling the application procedure. The processing may also take place electronically. This is particularly the case if an applicant sends corresponding application documents electronically, for example by e-mail. If an employment relationship is established with an applicant, the transmitted data will be stored for the purpose of processing the employment relationship in compliance with the statutory provisions. If no employment relationship is established, the application documents will be deleted after notification of the rejection decision, provided that no other legitimate interests of the controller conflict with such deletion. Other legitimate interest in this sense is, for example, a duty to provide evidence in proceedings under the General Equal Treatment Act (AGG).
When calling up the website of the Berchtesgaden National Park Authority, data is transmitted to our web server via the user's internet browser. The following data is recorded during an ongoing connection for communication between the respective internet browser and our web server:
For reasons of technical security, in particular to defend against attempted attacks on our web server, we store this data. After seven days at the latest, the data is anonymized by shortening the IP address at domain level, so that it is no longer possible to establish a link to individual users. The data is processed exclusively for this purpose and in anonymized form for statistical purposes. A comparison with other data or a transfer to third parties, even in excerpts, does not take place.
Information sent to us unencrypted by electronic mail (e-mail) can possibly be read by third parties during transmission. As a rule, we are also unable to verify the identity and do not know who is hiding behind an e-mail address. Legally secure communication by simple e-mail is therefore not guaranteed. Like many e-mail providers, we use filters against unsolicited advertising (SPAM filters), which in rare cases may automatically classify even normal e-mails as unsolicited advertising by mistake and delete them. E-mails that contain harmful programs (viruses) are automatically deleted by us in any case.
If you want to send messages to us that are worthy of protection, we recommend that you encrypt and sign them to prevent unauthorized reading and falsification during transmission, or send the message to us by conventional mail.
PGP-encrypted e-mails to us can be sent to the following e-mail address (poststelle@npv-bgd.bayern.de). The required PGP communication key (public key) can be downloaded from the central PGP keyserver of the Bavarian public authorities network at the address "pgp-keyserver.bayern.de". Information on the encryption software "GpG4Win", which is available free of charge as a download and was developed on behalf of the Federal Office for Information Security, can be found on their website.
Please also let us know whether and how we can send you encrypted e-mails in response to your mailings and whether - if this is not possible - you agree to an unencrypted e-mail response to your letter. If you do not have the option of receiving encrypted e-mails, please provide us with your postal address so that we can reply to your messages worthy of protection.
