Settings in Windows

With the colour filter for better visibility in Windows 10, you can display all elements system-wide in greyscale or optimized for green vision impairment (deuteranopia), red vision impairment (protanopia) or blue blindness (trotanopia).

Windows 10 also has color filters for users who cannot see objects and elements on the screen correctly. In addition to grayscale or inverted colors, there are also display options for green vision impairment (deuteranopia), red vision impairment (protanopia) or blue blindness (trotanopia).

Proceed as follows to make the setting:

• Select Start > Settings > Ease of use > Color filter.
• Under Activate color filter, move the slider to On.
• Then select a color filter from the menu.
• Test each filter to find out which one works best.

Settings in iOS

With iOS 10, Apple has continued its efforts of recent years to make iOS devices easier to use for people with disabilities. To this end, a new operating aid for colorblind people has been introduced in the latest update. Like all aids, this must first be activated and can also help to compensate for color casts on the display. We will show you how this works very simply.

Proceed as follows to make the setting:

• Open the Settings app.
• Then tap on the “General” menu item.
• un select “Accessibility”. Here, first tap on the “Display adjustments” option and then on “Color filters”.
• Then select a color filter from the menu.
