Schneibsteinhaus - Much more than just a day trip!
Situated directly on the border with neighboring Austria, the Schneibsteinhaus in the Jenner region is a popular destination for day guests - after all, the hut, which is run by the DAV Berchtesgaden Section, is only about a 30-minute walk from the mountain station of the Jenner cable car. From the Hinterbrand parking lot via the Mitterkaseralm it is just under two hours.
This ideal starting point for multi-day hut hikes in the Berchtesgaden National Park offers space for up to 75 people. Pillows and blankets are ready for each guest (don't forget your hut sleeping bag!). Warm showers are also available. Open from the beginning of May until the end of October.
