Gotzenalm - viewing plateau high above the Königssee lake

After a leisurely hike in the valley or even a challenging mountain tour, the huts in the national park, which are open in summer, invite you to linger.

Gotzenalm - viewing plateau high above the Königssee lake

The Gotzenalm rewards its guests with great panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Especially the Watzmann shows its most impressive side here with its notorious east face. The Gotzenalm is not only a popular destination for hikers, mountain bikers also fight their way up to the mountain pasture at an altitude of around 1,685 meters. For overnight guests, innkeeper Rudi Klecker and his team offer around 100 places to sleep.

Tip:

Visit the vantage point "Feuerpalfen" with sensational deep views on the Königssee and into the Watzmann east face.
